Re: Double push on quads

you might get some good info on Skatelog.com I've done that and you are quite right. Wheels are a bit of an issue as they keep recommending hard wheels. But as we are looking at Goodwood even 84A quad wheels are too hard after a few laps. It dawned on me last night that I have a friend who used to ...

if he is willing to change technology . He loves quads and wants to stick withthem, but I think he will look at alternative models - my bank balance permitting. So any suggestions on make/model/wheels? I had a quick scan for quad speed skaters in the UK but can't find any. I did know two many years...

Hehe, my first thought too. Inlines are the easiest way of making quads go faster.

Where's the challenge in that?

Double push on quads

Are there any quad speed skaters on this site?

Is the double push on quads the same technique as inlines? Any videos?

Re: Starting Out

I have a pair of these - SFR RX23 - £60. They are pretty comfortable and quite well put together for a £60 skate.

Ankle support is good

But I would also advise you to try on skates and not just buy over the internet before trying

Re: Riedell Outdoor Skates ???

66 mm is very small size for inlines, but large size for quads From comments I have heard/read from other quaddies, that appearsto be the optimum size for general outdoor skating. You can get bigger but it doesn't appear to add any advantage out on the street. Any smaller and you begin to have prob...

Hyper Pro 250s

Orange Wheels of slowness work wonderfully in the wet.

But really hard work as soon as the surface dries.

Re: Skating on a banked track

This is a bike track so I suspect some of the banking will be a bit steep. Still, must give it a go when the chance arises.

I knw skaters have used it in the past, as an acqaintance of mine used to train there in the late 70's on quads. But he was very fast

Paul was really shouty though which is more likely tohave pissed them off and or scared them Yes he did. Not a very pleasant individual, especially after the young girl he left crying. No doubt he'd claim it was for safety reasons but with a train as long as it was the outside would have been a bet...
