Did he only have one skate on for that one one or something?

He pulled his padawan around for 13 laps... then she outsprinted him to the finish line.

More skaters from Nottingham: Speedy Matt 2nd, Bionic Bob 3rd, Spare Tim 4th. Japanese Dave 7th with more Notts peeps behind.

James was second in the half behind his padawan learner, Skaiti Katie 3rd, Me 4th and Katrin 5th.

Re: An introduction and a question... (best urban skates?)

I am very much liking my new Seba FR1 deluxes. The deluxe liner is a lot like an aggressive liner and there's enough padding to absorb the little bumps on the road but still give you good control. In my Seba Highs I feel every little bump so I don't wear them for street skating.

Re: Differsense

Phil, you see you never heard of it. I told you. Let me define the word rollerblading for you. It is a pretty old recreational sport where people wear special boots that hold wheels in a single row. They are also called in-line skates. Have you ever heard of quad skates? Also know as roll...

Re: Which Ice Skates

I bought some cheap rec ice skates once. Very similar to these, but with a hockey blade instead of artistic and adult size, obviously. Bloody horrible. Best go with hockey ice skates. Try second-hand decent model as opposed to dirt-cheap new.

Re: What makes a skate?

I didn't find a certain posting by acidedge where he has a list of suitable skates That would be this one: http://www.nottinghamskaters.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=20.0 ;) The only thing I would add is, having skated indoors and outdoors in both the Seba High and Seba FR1 Deluxe, I find the FR1 far...

Re: Seba frame bolts and axles OVERTIGHT SCANDAL!!!

The context: I have, just before Xmas, spent £230 on a lovely new 2012 pair of Seba FR1 Deluxe skates. Yep, they are awesome in pretty much every way. However...I decided to try shifting the frame position on the FRDs, but can I get the bolts loose? No chance!!! I've twisted 2 (non-Seba) allen key...

Re: sonic gripz tool

I've got something very similar which is also half the price: http://www.prolineskates.com/aggressive-skates/icetoolz-y-wrench.html To be honest I don't use it much as all you really need (on most skates) is a 4mm allen key. I only keep it as it has a 6mm axle / bearing popper, which some people sti...

Hi. I am thinking of taking my skates to Nottingham and skating up and down the Holme Pierrepoint rowing cycle track. If anyone wants to join in, then I will be there from about half tenish. I will be coming from Manchester so if the weather forecast looks a bit dodgy for Saturday, I probably will ...

Re: Barcelona made me do it!

Hi Kowalski, welcome to SR.com. If your weight moves towards your outside edges then that's supination. Pronation is where your ankle rolls inwards. Regardless, it's certainly a good idea to adjust your frame so that your skates are comfortable! I can't see how lining up your frame so that it's nice...
